SafeView, Inc./Security Screening Solutions

SafeView, Inc. was acquired by L-3 Communications, a $7B supplier of high technology security products, on March 21, 2006. SafeView offers a more effective, safe, and less intrusive alternative to metal detectors, pat down searches, x-ray (ionizing radiation) and other means used to ensure safety. SafeView’s patented active millimeter wave scanning technology was developed at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Battelle Ventures participated in the company’s Series B financing and subsequently worked closely with SafeView to introduce the company to market contacts.
